Installation Crew Lead

Position Type: Seasonal, Full-Time During Installation Season Location: Midland Park, NJ Reports To: Installation Manager
We are seeking an experienced Installation Crew Lead to supervise and coordinate daily installation activities for residential and commercial irrigation and outdoor lighting projects. You will manage crew activities, ensure quality workmanship on water-efficient systems, maintain quality standards, and serve as the customer-facing representative on your project site.
Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise 2-4 installation technicians on assigned projects
  • Plan daily activities and coordinate site logistics
  • Ensure installations meet Green-Way specifications and customer requirements
  • Maintain work site organization and safety standards
  • Conduct safety briefings and enforce company compliance
  • Communicate project progress and changes to customers and management
  • Inspect work quality and ensure attention to detail
  • Maintain professional appearance and brand standards (company uniforms and vehicles)
  • Mentor, guide, and work alongside installation crew members
Required Qualifications
Experience & Technical Knowledge
  • 4+ years irrigation/low-voltage lighting installation experience
  • 1+ year supervisory or lead experience
  • Knowledge of irrigation systems and water-efficient design
  • Blueprint reading and site layout interpretation
  • Familiarity with Hunter, Rainbird, and outdoor lighting products
  • Tool and equipment operation
Skills & Attributes
  • Strong leadership and crew coordination
  • Clear, professional communication—strong English speaking and writing
  • Bilingual English/Spanish
  • Attention to detail and quality focus
  • Ability to work overtime during peak season
  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
